It is one of the key elements in Corporate Branding. A logo is a trademark; a graphical symbol or mark that is commonly used by companies or enterprises to promote themselves for instant recognition by the public. It is usually a combination of a symbol and font characters to form the company’s corporate identity.
A trademark is often seen as a necessity for most companies. Thus they would often engage a creative agency or logo designer to design and brand the company. A trademark often carries the meaning and the brand story of the company, delivering a specific message of the company to the public.
The trademark of the company can then be registered for its sole identity or usage. A trademark is also commonly used for marketing purposes for a company to represent itself.
At Jehm Studio, we understand the importance of a well-designed trademark and its identity that represents your organization. We believe that a trademark should also reinforce your core message, identity and values.
For the entire corporate branding service, it would typically take at least 3 months for research, design and implementation, depending on the scale of each project.
For the brand development stage, it would typically take at least 3-4 months to educate BOD, consumers, suppliers and the corporate workforce.
For registered trademark services after the corporate branding stage, it would take 6-12 months to complete the process.
It is not compulsory but once your brand/trademark is registered, you can protect it by restricting others from using its name or logo. Once successfully registered, your registered trademark can last indefinitely as long as you renew it every 10 years.
A registered trademark is considered a form of your company’s intellectual property. You can use the registered trademark on your product, collaterals or for advertisement purposes. It is usually seen as a form of protection.
We encourage promising brands to register their trademarks once the design stage is completed. As your brand grows to be more popular, copyright issues would then follow. Registering your trademark allows you to license or franchise to others to use it. Also, it adds value to your company.
Brand owners or companies can apply for SPRING‘s Capability Development Grant (CDG) grant. The grant supports up to 70% of qualify costs for product design, development and manufacturing processes.
